When investing in any waterfront property, it is critical the existing condition of the seawall and docks be taken into valuation consideration. Aside from roofing, seawalls and docks can be the most expensive repair item to a waterfront home - often more than roofing! Inspections and repair or replacement estimates should be obtained prior to going hard on a contract – or at least taken into account when making an offer.
